Background Notes

3-6-00

This project began several years ago with a small collection of articles about alternatives to skin irritation testing in animals. The focus of this work has been development of a vocabulary of terms specific to this area of biomedical research for use as keywords for databases, journal articles and other publications. This website has been created as an extension of this work in order to share the information collected and to provide a resource on the WWW which can be useful to both knowledgeable and novice researchers in this field.
